Privacy Policy

When you create an account we collect the information you provide directly: your name, email address, account type (artist or studio), and any profile content such as portfolio images, bio, and location. Studio accounts additionally provide business name and contact details.

We automatically collect certain technical data when you use the platform, including your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. This data is used to operate the service, detect fraud, and improve performance. We use cookies and similar technologies; you can manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings.

If you connect a payment method, billing data is processed and stored by Stripe. We receive only a payment confirmation token and the last four digits of your card — we never have access to your full card number.

We use your data to provide and improve the TattooGigs platform: creating and maintaining your account, matching artists with relevant studio listings, processing subscription payments, and sending transactional emails such as new message notifications and billing receipts.

We may use aggregated, anonymised usage data to analyse platform trends and improve our service. This data cannot be used to identify individual users.

We will never sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data to serve third-party advertising.

TattooGigs uses a small number of trusted third-party services to operate: Supabase for database and authentication, Stripe for payment processing, and Vercel for hosting. Each of these providers processes data only as instructed by us and under their own privacy policies and data processing agreements.

We may integrate with image hosting or CDN services to deliver your portfolio images efficiently. These services do not use your images for any purpose other than delivery.

If we add new third-party integrations that involve sharing personal data, we will update this policy and, where required, seek your consent.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you close your account, we will delete your personal profile data within 30 days, unless we are required to retain it longer for legal or financial compliance reasons.

Aggregated and anonymised analytics data may be retained indefinitely as it cannot be used to identify you. Billing records are retained for seven years in accordance with Dutch financial regulations.

Portfolio images you upload are deleted from our storage within 30 days of account closure. You may also request deletion of specific images at any time by contacting support.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable national law, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to correct inaccurate data, to request deletion of your data, and to receive a portable copy of your data. You also have the right to object to certain types of processing.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected] with 'Privacy Request' in the subject line. We will respond within 30 days. We may ask you to verify your identity before processing your request.

If you believe we have not handled your data correctly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
